Punta Cana, a tropical paradise, an amazing location. Punta Cana is the region located at the furthest eastern point of the Dominican Republic, known for its gorgeous white sand beaches, its luxurious resorts, and its tropical vibe. Manati Park, founded in 1996, was the very first theme park in the Dominican Republic. It’s a place where visitors can enjoy five amazing shows and discover more than 150 species of animals, including sea lions, manta rays, horses, and parrots. Through several education and investigation projects, Manati Park aims to preserve nature and all of the species in the park. Another fun activity to try is swimming with dolphins in the Dolphin Island Park. Some lucky visitors might even steal a kiss from one of the dolphins. There are food and beverage facilities in Manati Park as well as two beautiful natural wells in which visitors can enjoy a relaxing soak.

Dolphin Explorer allows guests to swim and interact with dolphins in their natural habitat. It offers a unique and unforgettable experience while also teaching all its visitors about the conservation of terrestrial and marine life in Punta Cana and the Dominican Republic. This site also features some tropical birds, sharks, sea lions, stingrays, and many others animal species as well as an exciting catamaran ride. Aboard the Dolphin Cruiser, visitors will sail through crystal-clear waters along the coast of the Natural Reserve of Cabeza de Toro in Punta Cana.

Originally developed as a town for resort workers, the town of Bavaro has become a destination for tourists and locals alike for its 10 kilometers of unspoiled seashore. While it can be crowded, Bavaro beach is definitely worth a visit due to the large variety of amenities located on or near the sands, and its close proximity to Punta Cana itself. (If you’re not staying in Bávaro itself, you likely won’t be too far away.) When you’re not frolicking in the waves or stretching out on the sand, head over to one of the nearby bars and enjoy a drink in the shade.

Punta Cana is also a golfer’s destination, with 10 courses located all along the strip, a seaside escape with luxurious marinas and fine dining, and a wellness corner home to the country’s top spas, including the only Six Senses in the Caribbean. Wherever you settle on this brilliant white Punta Cana coastline–counting 11 Blue Flag certified beaches in its inventory–go beach hopping to enjoy its full splendor. From scenic surf-hub Macao and Bávaro’s hipster beaches Corales and Cortecito–lined with shops, water sports, and beachfront bars–to secluded Juanillo, among others. Spend a day away from the sand and you’ll find a myriad of inland adventures. Cool off in fresh water azure cenotes and lagoons tucked inside forests at Ojos Indígenas and Scape Park, where the family’s tweens can also enjoy ziplines and caving expeditions. Explore the lush Dominican countryside on an off-road safari, tumbling past roadside meat shops, and sugar cane plantations. Along the way, visit the country’s top pilgrimage site at the Basílica Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia, and feel the DR’s deep spiritual roots. Searching for Punta Cana transfer? Super Truck Safari, This is the perfect way to see the REAL Dominican Republic beyond your hotel compound. You will ride a safari truck through the Higuey region cane fields making a stop at a local school where you’ll get to meet the local children (depending on the time of the year) and the group sponsors a local project that will benefit the surrounding communities. You will also visit one the most famous churches in the Country, home to the patron saint Our Lady of La Altragacia. The truck will pass through two rural ranches where you will have the chance to see how local made dominican products such as cocoa, tobacco, coffee are made and taste an alcoholic beverage named “mamajuana” which the locals consider an aphrodisiac. After a quick horseback ride to work up your appetite you’ll be treated to an authentic dominican style lunch and later on you will head down to the beach for a refreshing dip.
